Sister Mercedes began as the altered ego of Darren Van Asten (guitar and vocals). It has since grown three more heads: John Devolle (lead guitar), Dominic Pettit (drums) and Rafael Curita (bass).
John & Darren played in Junkbox together before and John has played in various other bands including The Intolerable Kidd & Friends and The Lonesome Cowboys from Hell. They live in London.
